I’ve been meaning to do a master “must have” for baby list and haven’t had a chance to yet, so I thought instead I would put together a list of some of my favorite NEW items for baby that weren’t around when I had Ellery or even Everett.
From the moment we brought Edie home from the hospital we used the Dockatot. We used it in between us while we slept and then we used it in her Halo co-sleeper and it even moved with her into her crib. We would bring it with us when we traveled too. I cannot recommend it enough. The cute prints don’t hurt either! I wish we’d had it for both my older babes
This Nested Bean makes awesome swaddles and sleep sacks that allow baby to feel a “weight” on them while they sleep that mimics the feel of a parent’s hand or cuddle. It gives them the snug feel to help them settle into sleep and stay asleep! Edie has been loving the Zen Sack and wearing it backwards allows her to feel even more secure while she is sleeping. I love that they offer options from birth to a year and the material is so soft. It’s the perfect solution when you’re transitioning from one sleep phase to another. I’m not a huge fan of introducing sleep aids unless they are worth it (because let’s be honest, every aid introduced is one we have to phase out!) BUT the Nested Bean products are worth it! Plus, look how adorable they are! They’re extending a special discount to BITO readers-just use the code BISCUITS10 when checking out!
Oat Mama Lactation Bars
So, this isn’t for baby necessarily BUT it’s been one of my go to new mama gifts (for myself included) because these bars not only taste AMAZING but I swear they did help my milk supply. I still keep one in my diaper bag 8 months later for emergency snacking. They are the perfect snack to pack in your hospital bag.
Beautycounter Baby Products
I am a consultant for Beautycounter but even if I wasn’t, I would recommend these products. I love the entire baby and kids line! They’ve recently launched a new diaper cream and adorable diaper bag too. It’s the perfect set to give at a baby shower or for yourself. I use the baby oil on our entire family!
Little Nomad Play Mat
We had a beautiful Pottery Barn rug in our playroom when we first moved into our new house and it took no time for it to get completely destroyed (I know, I know I can probably get it cleaned up but for now it will live in the garage until I can get around to dealing). While I know there are some nice, not so expensive rugs out there, I wanted something I could clean a bit more easily and not constantly be stressing would be collecting dirt and getting stained. I found Little Nomad Play Mats and I’m obsessed. I think they’re so beautiful and designed so that we can create any size we need. Plus, I’m all about supporting small companies who do things right! You can use the code BISCUITS to get a 10% discount on your order!
Little Unicorn Bibs
Trust me when I tell you that I did not intend to buy a single new bib this time around (I mean, by baby three you honestly have 1,000 bibs) but turns out Edie was quite a spitter in her earlier days and I had her in a bib 90% of the day. This had me searching for some new cute ones. I came across the brand Little Unicorn and have become slightly obsessed with them. I love their prints and the material is unbelievably soft. I have my eye on this quilt next ;)
Skip Hop Activity Center
I’m not one for big activity centers-in fact, I try to avoid them at all costs. If you know me, I love creams, whites, grays and navy’s (for the most part) and would give away every single toy aside from say 10-15 wooden blocks if it were up to me. That being said, this activity center has been great at keeping Edie entertained and doesn’t make me cringe when I see it sitting in our living room. Before she was starting solids it was in our dining room and always makes her feel like she is a part of the “action” without getting trampled by the big kiddos.
*As always, all opinions are my own and all products were tried and tested! I was not compensated for this post but was provided samples to review*
