I’ve done zero recording of my darling, little Edie. I try to keep little notes on my phone when I think of it so that I can remember things for her baby book, but really, we are living in the moment these days!
Edie turned 4 months on the 28th of October and is already proving to be miles ahead of where her brother and sister were at this age. The pediatrician said that she will be more advanced purely because she has her siblings to watch. It’s really fascinating to watch.
She’s been (knock on wood) essentially sleeping through the night since she was a couple weeks old (minus a few nights here and there where a stuffy nose caused problems). She is the most smiley baby. I won’t even be watching her and will glance over to her in her bouncer and she will be grinning from ear to ear. I think if I was guaranteed to have a baby just like her every time, I would have ten (but there are no guarantees so that’s that ;)
Eden is still sleeping in her dock a tot at night in the halo bassinet next to our bed but tonight is the first night she will do a full night in her own room. She has been taking all her naps in her room but we move her to our room for nighttime sleep. I’m confident she will sleep a lot more soundly in her own room, which will make it easier for our nighttime routine with the other babes.
The leaves outside our windows are the most beautiful shades of yellows and oranges and it feels like Winter is knocking at the door already. I feel very grateful that we are beginning to have a sense of normalcy around here and can embrace the changing seasons with a sense of calm.
