I’m not quite sure where the nickname came from-I think it might have been from Grammie, but regardless it has somehow stuck. Our little “tuni” is 6 months old this week. On June 5th to be exact. I really can’t believe it. I found myself looking at him last night when he was finished nursing and I’m still in disbelief that this beautiful little boy is all mine! So much has happened this past year from the big move from NYC to CT, to buying a house, finding new friends, Ellery starting school and M starting a new job that I sometimes forget Everett was born somewhere in the mix. I know that’s awful to say but it just feels like he’s been here all along. He is such a good boy. His sleeping is touch and go at night (he’s working on it :) but he is happy almost all the time. He puts up with me and his sister all day-just happily going along with whatever we need to do at the moment. He is so strong. I think he will be moving around on his own in no time. His eyes are still blue with no signs of changing. Hair is coming in-similar to Ellery’s, a beautiful shade of blonde. His favourite activities are jumping in the jumper while Ellery dances around, which makes him giggle incessantly. He loves facing outward in the Ergo 360, whether it’s at the grocery store (where he can people watch and smile at everyone) or in the yard where he can watch Sophie and Ellery romp around. Bath time is fun-he loves to kick and recently started sitting up in the tub where he can now play with some bath toys. We’ve started introducing some foods-casually. He loves white peaches and seemed to enjoy the roasted carrot puree. Not a huge fan of apple sauce or avocados but it’s early.
Life with two young babes isn’t easy but seeing the two of them together makes me forget the hard parts (for a moment at least :) They adore each other in their own ways, which I guess is part of the reason it feels like Everett has always been here. Like they were meant to be together. happy six months baby, ev!
