5 Weeks & lots to be thankful for!

We celebrated our first thanksgiving with Elle this past week. It was so wonderful to share her with family and friends that hadn’t met her yet.

Post Thanksgiving nap with her Dad:

Ellery is 5 weeks now. At 5 weeks there is a lot happening! Her neck muscles are getting stronger and she is able to turn her head from side to side. She’s become so much more alert, if that was even possible! She loves looking around and she is giggling and smiling so much more.

We are beginning to work on her sleep habits. She is pretty good at night, sleeping around 3 hours in between each feeding, sometimes stretching it to 4 or 5 hours. Just today I began to keep track of her sleeping so that after a few days I can see if there is a clear pattern to work off of. I began reading the book “Secrets of the Baby Whisperer“. I will definitely report back on what I think of it.

Mach and I took Elle up to Boston for her first day trip to visit Jess and Brian. We also stopped by to visit our friends Matt and Allison. It felt so good to be out and about all day. We even had our first full meal at a restaurant with her. She slept the whole time in her baby bjorn!

We did some baby shopping in Boston too. I picked up two pairs of the most adorable leg warmers! They are made by a company called Baby Legs. I can’t get enough of them!

I had a coffee date with my girl friends and Ellery got to meet Wyatt and Quinn (my friend, Caitlyn’s two boys)! Wyatt was adorable and very gentle with her.
